SLNA Training Center: When the 'giant awakens'
(Baonghean.vn) - At the 2020 season summary ceremony - V.League Awards 2020, SLNA received the award for the club with the best achievements in youth training. A worthy reward for the leading training center of Vietnamese football.
2000s, training furnaceSLNAis unrivaled, with a series of different big and small titles in tournaments for youth teams. From U11 to U21, SLNA's youth teams have "made waves" in all tournaments at the national level. The championships of the U17 team (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009), U19 team (2001, 2004, 2005, 2006), U21 team (2000, 2001, 2003) are clear proof.

However, in the period (2010 - 2017),SLNA training centerhas not been able to maintain its position, facing fierce competition from the Hanoi T&T training center (now Hanoi Club), Viettel, PVF or HAGL. As a result, SLNA's youth teams have continuously failed in the finals. Therefore, the championships of U11 (2017), U13 (2013, 2014), U17 (2017) and U21 (2012, 2014) have not been able to meet the expectations of Nghe An football fans.
Realizing the backwardness of the home training center compared to other training centers, SLNA's Board of Directors has embarked on a reform process. Besides doing a good job in recruiting students (opening more "satellite" centers), SLNA training center also recruited more young, talented coaches who are former SLNA players such as Phan Nhu Thuat, Pham Van Quyen, Pham Duc Anh, Nguyen Van Vinh, Le Manh Huy, Dang Xuan Tuong, Phan Tien Hoai...

Thanks to the combination of experienced coaches and new ones with modern teaching methods, SLNA's training center has gradually "received sweet fruit". In recent years (2018 - 2020), SLNA's tradition room has been bustling with new titles of U11 (2018, 2019, 2020), U13 (2018, 2019, 2020), U15 (2018, 2019), and U17 (2020). This season alone, SLNA's training center has won 3 championships at the U11, U13 and U17 finals.
It can be affirmed that SLNA training center is in its golden period, after a period of stagnation. The title of the club with the best achievements in youth training in the 2020 season is a worthy reward for the efforts of the coaches and young players at SLNA training center. In particular, it is impossible not to mention the great contributions of Head of Training Nguyen Ngoc Anh, who often takes on the role of head of SLNA youth teams at the finals.
Hopefully, with the title just awarded, SLNA training center will continue to reap more success and the immediate future is the National U21 tournament, starting on November 22.
