Landslide kills 2, injures 3.
(Baonghean.vn) –At approximately 6:00 AM on July 7th, a serious landslide occurred in Na Lat village, Nhon Mai commune, Tuong Duong district, killing two brothers, Le Van Ninh (born in 1990) and Le Van Dat (born in 1994), and injuring three others.
Three workers were injured: Le Tien Hieu (born 1982), Nguyen Dinh Bien (born 1984), and Pham Van Thanh (born 1992), all from Loc Ha district, Ha Tinh province. They were workers of the North Central Company, constructing a road for economic development in West Nghe An. Due to heavy rain and muddy conditions in the area where the workers were working, a landslide occurred while they were constructing the embankment of the road, burying them. As a result, two died and three were injured.
On July 10th, Major Pham Huy Hoang, Political Officer of Nhon Mai Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard Command), stated that the unit had coordinated with local authorities and the North Central Company to bring the deceased victim back to his hometown in Loc Ha district, Ha Tinh province for burial, and transported the injured victims of a landslide to Que Phong district hospital for emergency treatment. Currently, the three injured victims are gradually recovering.
