The photo of the three suspects published by Belgian media on the afternoon of March 22 was cut from surveillance video at Zaventem Airport. The three men were pushing luggage carts and two of them were wearing a black glove on their left hand.
Investigators suspect the detonator was hidden inside the black gloves they were wearing. It is understood that two of the men wearing black gloves were killed after the explosion at Zaventem airport. The other is still alive and is wanted by Belgian police.
Before Belgian authorities released images of the suspects in the Zaventem airport attack, the Islamic State (IS) group claimed responsibility for the attack in Brussels. The terrorist group said, “IS fighters carried out a series of attacks with explosive devices and bombs on Tuesday targeting an airport and a metro station in the center of Brussels, Belgium.”
