Tran Thi Bich Ngoc (nickname Ngoc Like) is a famous name in the Hanoi tattoo art world. The sexy and hot girl is known for her story of overcoming all prejudices, pursuing a profession that is not supported by many people, "painting skin".
Before coming to artistic tattooing, Bich Ngoc was a student at the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema. She graduated as valedictorian of the school’s Art Costume Design major and was greatly loved by the lecturers. Until now, besides tattooing, making art costumes is still a passion she persistently pursues.
She has had three seasons making Tao Quan costumes.
The Hanoian tattoo artist has spent three seasons making costumes for Tao Quan – the show that everyone looks forward to on New Year’s Eve. Together with designer Duc Hung, she created the costumes and accessories for the Tao cast based on the personalities and titles of each character as well as the symbolic meaning the director wants to convey through the costumes.
Three years of “carrying the towel and fixing the bag” for the Tao cast, preparing even the smallest things like hats, shoes, buttons… however, each year still brings Bich Ngoc new challenges, requiring meticulousness and better thinking to stick to the script.
She takes meticulous care of the costumes of the Tao.
Behind the audience's endless laughter at the year-end gala, there is not only the effort of veteran comedians but also the effort of post-production workers like the Hanoi girl. Not to mention, 2018 marks the 15th anniversary of this special program, so everything must be carefully prepared.
“The thing that puts me the most pressure is how to make the characters both old and new, and each person must have a unique point. The amount of clothes this year is double or triple that of previous seasons, everything must be prepared more meticulously, with higher requirements and more urgency. In return, the audience will surely be surprised by the brilliance of this year's Tao Quan.”Bich Ngoc shared.

And Bich Ngoc herself also received many things from that stressful time. She got to work with veteran comedians, was inspired, and lived in the most sublime moments.
Each actor who plays Tao leaves Bich Ngoc with special feelings. For example, Cong Ly, a “manly” person but plays the role of “two-faced” very well, behind the scenes he is always quiet but very manly, in contrast to the graceful, coquettish image that the audience often sees on the Tao Quan stage.

Or like actress Van Dung, before the performance she had to lie down and get an IV, but as soon as she went on stage she was active, cheerful and acted like she was... possessed... Xuan Bac and Tu Long, no matter how tired they were from practicing, still made jokes to dispel the heavy atmosphere.
