A shipment of phone accessories worth more than 1 billion VND has no clear origin.

At about 3:30 p.m. on May 21, at km 402 on National Highway 1A, passing through Quynh Hong commune, Quynh Luu district (Nghe An), Traffic Police Station 5-1 conducted an administrative inspection of a passenger car with license plate 51B - 14782 traveling in the South - North direction.

The shipment is mainly phone and tablet components.

Upon inspection, the vehicle contained many boxes of goods including: 500 phone chargers of various types; 500 spare chargers; 400 multi-function chargers; 7,000 phone batteries of various types; more than 2,000 phone screens of various types; 106 Apad screens, 775 phone headsets of various types; 400 mini portable speakers; 40 Bluetooth headsets... The total value of the shipment was nearly 1 billion VND.

The vehicle carrying a shipment worth more than 1 billion VND did not have valid documents.

Driver Dong Thanh Phong (born in 1971, residing on Chau Van Liem Street, O Mon District, Can Tho City) could not present valid documents proving the origin of the above goods. Driver Phong confessed that he was hired to transport the above goods from a person in the South to the North for consumption.

Currently, the authorities have made a record to seize the above shipment for handling according to regulations.
