'Missed appointment' with Border Guard Academy, Nghe An male student was recognized by Vinh University as admitted
Due to health reasons, Lang Duc Bang - a former student of Ethnic Minority Boarding High School No. 2 "missed his appointment" with the Border Guard Academy. However, he was accepted by Vinh University to study at the Faculty of History Pedagogy according to his second registered wish.
On the afternoon of October 10, responding to Nghe An Newspaper, Radio and Television, Associate Professor, Doctor Tran Ba Tien - Vice Principal of Vinh University said: The school has just decided to recognize Lang Duc Bang, a former student of Ethnic Minority Boarding High School No. 2, as admitted to the History Pedagogy major.
Bang is a Thai ethnic student, grew up in Ke Me village, Mau Thach commune and studied for 3 years at Ethnic Minority Boarding High School No. 2. After the high school graduation exam, with 29 points, including Literature 9.25; History 9.75 and Geography 10, Bang confidently registered for 3 university admission wishes. Of which, wish 1 is to register for the Border Guard Academy and wish 2 is to enroll in the Faculty of History Education - School of Education - Vinh University.
Previously, Lang Duc Bang was one of 75 students honored by Nghe An province in 2025.
With very high scores, Bang was in the top 7 admitted to the Border Guard Academy and enrolled on September 9. However, after a health check, he was found not to meet the admission requirements as prescribed.

With the wish to continue studying the second choice as previously registered. On the side of the Border Guard Academy, in order to create favorable conditions for candidates to study according to their wishes and support the rights of candidates, the school also sent a document to the Department of Higher Education - Ministry of Education and Training,Vinh UniversityThe school is requested to consider and create conditions for candidate Luong Duc Bang to be admitted according to his wishes to register at the school.

Due to unavoidable reasons, this candidate also submitted a petition to the Minister of Education and Training and Vinh University to present his wishes and promised to try his best to study and practice to contribute to society and become a good teacher, dedicated to his profession, and do his best to bring letters to the children of ethnic minorities.
According to Bang's wishes, Vinh University has decided to accept him to study at the Faculty of History Education.
