Due to health reasons, Lang Duc Bang, a former student of Ethnic Boarding High School No. 2, missed his chance to apply to the Border Guard Academy. However, he was accepted by Vinh University to study History Education in his second-choice program.

On the afternoon of October 10th, in response to questions from Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Ba ​​Tien - Vice Rector of Vinh University - stated that the university has just issued a decision recognizing Lang Duc Bang, a former student of Ethnic Boarding High School No. 2, as having been admitted to the History Education major.

Bang is a student of the Thai ethnic group, raised in Ke Me village, Mau Thach commune, and spent three years studying at Ethnic Boarding High School No. 2. After the high school graduation exam, with 29 points, including Literature 9.25; History 9.75 and Geography 10, Bang confidently applied for three university admissions. His first choice was the Border Guard Academy, and his second choice was the History Education Department - Faculty of Education - Vinh University.

Previously, Lang Duc Bang was one of 75 students honored by Nghe An province in 2025.

With very high scores, Bang was among the top 7 candidates admitted to the Border Guard Academy and had enrolled on September 9th. However, after a subsequent health check, he was found to be ineligible for enrollment.

The candidate wishes to continue studying at their second-choice program as previously registered. On the part of the Border Guard Academy, in order to facilitate the candidate's studies according to their preferences and to support their rights, the school has also sent a document to the Department of Higher Education - Ministry of Education and Training.Vinh UniversityWe request that the school consider and facilitate the admission of candidate Luong Duc Bang according to his registered preferences.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, this candidate also submitted a letter to the Minister of Education and Training and Vinh University to express their aspirations and promise to strive to study and train hard so that they can contribute to society and become a good, dedicated teacher, wholeheartedly bringing literacy to the children of ethnic minorities.

In accordance with Bang's wishes, Vinh University has decided to accept him into the Faculty of History Education.
