The C-HR's cabin is simply designed, driver-oriented, using an 8-inch touch screen with many features and safety equipment.

Launched to the world at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016, after nearly 4 months, the Japanese car company has just revealed information about the interior design of the 2017 Toyota C-HR. The C-HR represents Toyota in the small crossover segment to compete with rivals such as the Honda HR-V, Nissan Juke, and Mazda CX-3.

As seen in the image, the asymmetrical center console has a simple, clean layout and is oriented towards the driver. The 8-inch touchscreen features an improved HMI (Human Machine Interface) and supports Multi-Media.

Toyota offers material options from imitation leather to premium Nappa leather, with three interior color options including gray, blue-black and black-brown. Standard equipment on the 2017 C-HR includes heated seats, smart key, dark privacy glass, Toyota's S-IPA (Simple Intelligent Park Assist) smart parking system, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a JBL sound system.

Safety features with Toyota's Sense system come standard, including pedestrian warning, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic high beams.

In Europe, the 2017 Toyota C-HR has two engine options. The standard version is equipped with a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with a capacity of 114 horsepower and a maximum torque of 185 Nm. The option is a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT, combined with front-wheel drive. Fuel consumption is about 5.7 liters/100 km, according to Toyota.

Instead of a diesel engine, Toyota chose a hybrid engine similar to the Prius, using a 1.8-liter gasoline engine combined with an electric motor for a total capacity of 120 horsepower. Fuel consumption is only 3.7 liters/100 km, according to the manufacturer's announcement.

In addition, the 2017 C-HR also has a 2-liter engine with 148 horsepower, using a CVT transmission for some other markets. Currently, Toyota has no plans for the US and Canadian markets.

The C-HR is a five-door sedan designed at Calty in California. This compact crossover is built on Toyota's New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform, which is also used on the latest generation of the Prius.

4,350 mm long, 1,795 mm wide and 1,550 mm high with a wheelbase of 2,640 mm. Compared to cars in the same segment, the C-HR is slightly larger than both the HR-V and Mazda CX-3.

According to plan, Toyota C-HR 2017 will be sold in Europe from this fall.
