Information about the creation of BrahMos missile for submarines leaked
The creation of the BrahMos submarine-launched cruise missile is almost complete, co-CEO of the Russian BrahMos Aerospace Corp. Alexander Maksichev told Sputnik.

The missile is currently in service with the coastal defense forces and submarines of the Indian Navy. Development of an airborne version of the missile for the Indian Air Force's Su-30MKI has been completed.
"The BrahMos missile for submarines is almost ready, but the Indian fleet does not have submarines that can launch the missile vertically. This missile cannot be launched with torpedoes," Maksichev said.
He recalled that India is currently holding a tender for the purchase of six submarines, in which Russia also participated in the tender with the submarine of project 636 and the submarine "Amur" of project 1650.
Earlier it was reported that the testing of the new BrahMos aircraft missile, which has undergone improved technical characteristics as ordered by the Indian Armed Forces, will be carried out before the end of this year.
