Information about the creation of BrahMos missile for submarines leaked
The creation of the BrahMos submarine-launched cruise missile is nearing completion, co-CEO of the Russian BrahMos Aerospace Corp. Alexander Maksichev told Sputnik.

Currently, this missile is being equipped with coastal defense forces and submarines of the Indian Navy. Development of an aviation version of the missile for the Su-30MKI aircraft of the Indian Air Force has been completed.
"The BrahMos missile for submarines is almost ready, but the Indian fleet does not have submarines that can launch the missile vertically. This missile cannot be launched with torpedoes," Mr. Maksichev said.
He recalled that India is currently announcing a tender for the purchase of six submarines, in which Russia also participated in the tender with the submarine of project 636 and the submarine "Amur" of project 1650.
Earlier it was reported that the testing of the new BrahMos aircraft missile, which has undergone improved technical specifications as ordered by the Indian Armed Forces, will be carried out before the end of this year.
