Longevity experts say we should eat cruciferous vegetables every day to live a long and happy life.
American Dr. Mark Hyman is the author of the bookForever Young: The Secret to Living the Longest, Healthiest LifeHe recommends foods people should eat every day to stay young and live longer.
In a recent video, Dr. Hyman praises cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, kale, Brussels sprouts, and cabbage, claiming, “These are the ‘medicines’ you should eat every day.”

Another food the doctor recommends people consume is extra virgin olive oil. “Olive oil has been shown to contain all sorts of anti-inflammatory compounds,”Manchester Evening Newsreport
Nuts have also been shown to reduce the risk of diabetes, improve health, and potentially prolong life. “Nuts are rich in minerals, fats, proteins, and fiber, making them nature’s superfoods,” Dr. Hyman explains.
Another important food is berries such as grapes, raspberries, and strawberries, which Dr. Hyman rates as "excellent sources of antioxidants."
He also recommends drinking green tea every day. This tea contains phytochemicals and catechins that activate the longevity process in the body, helping us stay young and healthy.
Meanwhile, dietician Dr Michael Moseley says the key to a long and happy life is to protect your gut health. Dr Moseley says leading a healthy lifestyle is far more important than genetics when it comes to longevity.
Dr Mosley explains that adding certain foods to your diet can make a difference in slowing, or even reversing, the aging process.
