For leading scientists, it is necessary to meet 5 criteria such as having experience and capacity, leading scientific and technological topics and projects, having works published in prestigious scientific journals or owning exclusive inventions and patents; having experience in teaching and guiding graduate students; having relationships and cooperation domestically and internationally...

PhDs are paid tens of millions/month, professors nearly 100 million/month

Polytechnic University pays income including basic salary according to state regulations adjusted by seniority + income according to job position. Average income for PhD < 3 years is 35 million/month; > 3 years is 45 million; professors and associate professors > 3 years is 85 million/month. Foreigners receive income 3 times higher than Vietnamese people.

University of Natural Sciences pays salary according to state regulations adjusted by seniority + job position salary of 20 million/month.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities pays salaries according to state regulations adjusted by seniority + salary for job position of 15 million/month. If candidates return under the attraction policy, professors receive 200 million, associate professors 150 million, and doctors receive 100 million. Foreigners receive twice as much as Vietnamese people.

International University pays salary according to state regulations adjusted by seniority + job position salary 20 - 23.2 million VND/month.

The University of Information Technology pays salaries according to state regulations adjusted by seniority + salary for job position of 21 million/month. If the candidate returns under the attraction policy, the professor will receive 300 million, the associate professor 200 million, the doctor will receive 150 million. Advanced Technology Institute pays basic salary according to state regulations, adjusted according to seniority + income according to job position for the first 2 years is 4.9 million/month + additional income of 10 million/month.

In the third year, they are granted 1 topic of type B (maximum budget of 1,000,000,000 VND). In the fourth year, they are supported to invest in laboratories for scientific research, with a maximum budget of 10 billion. In the fifth year, they are supported and guided in procedures and processes for considering and recognizing the qualifications for the title of associate professor at the state level.
