Tornadoes cause damage in Nghia Dan and Nam Dan districts.

(Baonghean.vn) - At approximately 4 PM on June 16th, in Sinh hamlet, Nghia Thang commune (Nghia Dan district), a thunderstorm accompanied by a tornado caused the collapse of houses belonging to three families and knocked down over 1 hectare of rubber trees, resulting in damage to production and the daily lives of the people.

A section of Ms. Ngo Thi Hien's roof remains intact after the tornado.

Of the three households whose houses were destroyed by the tornado, the family of Ms. Ngo Thi Hien suffered the most damage. All three tiled rooms of their house were completely destroyed, and half of the corrugated iron roof also collapsed. Along with Ms. Hien's family, the family of Mr. Tran Dinh Sinh also had 1 hectare of rubber trees in their fourth year that were also knocked down.

The villagers each lent a hand, working together to overcome the aftermath of the tornado.

Following the damage caused by the tornado, the Party Committee, the government of Nghia Thang commune, and various organizations such as the Women's Union, the Youth Union, and the Veterans' Association came to share and help the affected families both materially and spiritually so that they could quickly stabilize their lives.

On June 17th, authorities in Nam Dan district and Xuan Lam commune, along with local residents, worked to mitigate the damage caused by the tornado in the area.

The tornado that struck Xuan Lam commune, Nam Dan district on the afternoon of June 16th lasted for nearly an hour, causing severe damage to 205 houses across 10 hamlets, with roofs blown off, structures tilted, and other damage.

Twenty-five homes had their roofs blown off after the tornado.

Residents of Xuan Lam commune are working to overcome the aftermath of the tornado.

Several classrooms at the kindergarten were severely damaged by falling trees; some power poles and traffic signs also failed to withstand the tornado. In addition, the tornado knocked down over 1000 trees, fruit trees, and many power poles, causing a power outage in Xuan Lam commune. Prior to this, the storm also swept through Khanh Son commune, causing significant damage to residents there.
