(Baonghean.vn) - A male student from Nghe An bravely saved three female students who were drowning at sea in Thua Thien-Hue.

On the afternoon of May 3, the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Science (Hue University) announced that it will coordinate to organizeMemorial ServiceRecognizing the heroic and selfless work of student Nguyen Van Nha (23 years old, student of IT class K41C, from Nghe An).

Accordingly, the Faculty of Information Technology coordinated with the University of Science and Hue University to organize a memorial ceremony at 7:00 p.m. on May 4, 2021 at hall A1.

To make the ceremony solemn, the school requires students to wear white shirts, dark pants, and masks to prevent the epidemic. Each student can bring a candle to light and spread the spirit of the friend and send him to his resting place.

It is known that among the 3 female students who drowned and were rescued, there were 2 students from Nghe An and one student from Thanh Hoa.

Hoang Thi Tr. (from Yen Thanh district, 2nd year student, University of Foreign Languages, Hue University) fainted and went into shock and is currently being treated at a hospital in Thua Thien-Hue.

Tr. said: “At that time, I was submerged and swept away by the waves. I didn’t have time to call for help. I tried to raise my hands above the water and thought I was going to die, then I fainted. When I woke up, I realized I had been saved and was in the hospital. I am grateful and thank Nha and everyone for saving me and my friends.”

Students Le Quoc Khanh and Bui Ngoc Anh said: At that time, the tide rose, the waves pushed the group of students into a deep pool and then met a big wave and swept them away. The male student was able to swim in, but the female student was pushed out to sea and drowned. Nha was bathing outside, swam in and discovered that the female students were exhausted and struggling, so she came and pushed three of them in. The male student on the shore pulled them up. At that time, we on the shore helped pull the female students up. When they were brought to shore, Tr. was unconscious. Everyone gave him first aid, shook him to get the water out and took him to the emergency room before he regained consciousness. Nha was exhausted, was pushed away by the big wave and drowned.

As reported, on the afternoon of April 30, while swimming at the beach in Phu Thuan commune (Phu Vang district, Thua Thien - Hue province), Nguyen Van Nha (a 4th year student at the University of Science - Hue University) discovered 3 female friends being swept away by waves and went to the rescue. After rescuing the 3 female friends to shore, Nha was exhausted and was swept away by the waves. After 30 minutes of searching, the rescue team at Phu Thuan beach found Nha's body.

It is known that Nha's family situation is extremely difficult, Nha's father has had a stroke for many years, and her mother is in poor health. Nha also has a deaf and mute older brother, and elderly grandparents.
