Testimony of the gunman who robbed a phone at the Mobile World store

At the police station, Hao admitted to robbing property at the Mobile World store on Hai Ba Trung Street (Hung Vuong Ward, Phuc Yen City, Vinh Phuc).

Hao said that he had lost money gambling and had to rob to pay off his debts. After escaping from the scene, Hao hid the stolen property in a field near his house (in Binh Xuyen district). Hao then went to Noi Bai Airport to buy a ticket for the earliest flight (February 14) to Da Lat City. When he left, Hao brought a few phones to Da Lat City to sell for money to spend.

In Da Lat City, the police seized 7 mobile phones, which were the evidence that Hao robbed on the night of February 13. Of these, 6 were sold to phone stores and 1 was used by Hao.

Previously, on the evening of February 13, the Investigation Police Agency of Vinh Phuc Province Police received a crime report from Phuc Yen City Police about the incident.

Specifically, at around 9:30 p.m. the same day, a robbery occurred at the Mobile World store on Hai Ba Trung Street. The subject used a gun to threaten two employees of the store and then robbed 35 mobile phones of various types worth about 441 million VND and 65 million VND in cash.

The suspect then fled to Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province.

At noon on February 14, upon receiving a report from Vinh Phuc Provincial Police, Lam Dong Provincial Police leaders directed professional units to arrest the suspect. However, at this time, Hao had already left Da Lat City for Ho Chi Minh City.

Immediately, Bao Loc City Police coordinated with the Traffic Police Department and Lam Dong Provincial Police to intercept the suspect on the passenger bus on National Highway 20.

At around 3:30 p.m., the police stopped the bus and arrested Nguyen Van Hao at Bao Loc Pass (Dai Lao Commune, Bao Loc City), about 130 km from Da Lat City.
