Testimony of the suspect who murdered a 3-year-old boy and put him in the freezer

According to information from the Ha Nam Provincial Police, the Provincial Police Department of Investigation of Social Evils is temporarily detaining Nguyen Truong Giang (26 years old), residing in Village 8, Chinh Ly Commune, Ly Nhan, to investigate and clarify the act of "Murder".

Giang was arrested while hiding in Hanoi.

Previously, at about 3:20 p.m. on August 13, 2022, NHĐ (born in 2019, residing in Nhan Chinh commune, Ly Nhan district, Ha Nam) went from home to Nguyen Truong Giang's "KAY" milk tea shop (next to Đ's house) to play. At this time, Giang was alone at the shop.

When going to the shop, NHĐ saw Giang left a cup of milk tea on the table so he took it himself. Giang told NHĐ "just play there while I clean up". When Giang went to the counter to clean up, NHĐ followed, took a cookie and sat on the bed to eat it.

While at the shop, NHĐ asked many times, "Uncle, what are you doing? Come out here and play with me." Angry because NHĐ asked so many questions, Nguyen Truong Giang took a metal pestle (used to break rocks) and swung it hard, hitting NHĐ in the back of the head, causing the child to fall off the bed, hit his head on the floor and cry loudly.

Nguyen Truong Giang tried to comfort her, but NHĐ cried even louder and called for her mother, so Giang used his left hand to cover her mouth and his right hand to squeeze and hold her neck down on the floor. About 1 minute later, NHĐ stopped crying and lay still.

When Giang put his hands down and went outside the shop to observe, NHĐ suddenly cried out, "Dad, Mom, you're hitting me." Seeing that, Nguyen Truong Giang had the intention of killing NHĐ, so he used a rope to tie and tighten it behind NHĐ's neck; then he covered NHĐ's mouth, strangled him, and slammed his head hard on the floor, knocking NHĐ unconscious.

When the child lay still and had no reflexes, Nguyen Truong Giang picked him up, put him in a cardboard box, put him in the freezer and left...

About 30 minutes later, NHĐ's grandfather checked the camera and saw his grandson enter Giang's milk tea shop, but when he called to ask, Giang said he didn't know.

After breaking the door, everyone went into the milk tea shop to look for NHĐ, opened the freezer and found NHĐ in the freezer. Then the family took NHĐ to the emergency room.

At about 10:30 p.m. on August 13, the Criminal Police Department, Provincial Police coordinated with Ly Nhan District Police to arrest Nguyen Truong Giang while he was on the run in Hanoi.
