On June 25, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department coordinated with Binh Tan District Police to taketestimonywith Pham Ngoc Viet (35 years old, from Hai Phong, living in Binh Tan district), the suspect in the murder of Mr. V (58 years old), the owner of the villa on Street 3A, Binh Tri Dong B Ward, Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City.

Viet admitted to murdering Mr. V. Viet said that every morning when he exercises, he often jogs past Mr. V's house. One time, Mr. V accidentally swept trash and hit V without apologizing, so V felt resentful.
On the morning of June 24, Viet carried a knife and wore a Grab shirt to Mr. V's villa to take revenge. Seeing Mr. V sweeping the trash and watering the plants on the side of the villa, V used a knife to stab the victim multiple times. After that, Viet threw the Grab shirt into the canal and returned home.
When the police arrested Viet, Viet claimed that the police arrested the wrong person and refused to confess. After several hours of struggle, Viet admitted to murdering Mr. V.
