Heartless confession of suspect in murder of 8-year-old boy
The suspect confessed that due to a conflict with the victim's family, he killed the 8-year-old boy in revenge.
The Investigation Police Agency of Ha Tinh Police has just issued a decision to prosecute and detain Ha Trong Quyet (born 1993), residing in Trung Thi village, Son Ninh commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province, for the crime of"Killing”.
At the investigation agency, Quyet confessed that on October 25, due to a conflict with the victim's family, Quyet had the intention of killing Ha Trong D. (8 years old, residing in Son Ninh commune) to take revenge.

At around 3:30 p.m. the same day, Quyet took a knife (a trick knife) and led the family's cows to the field about 50 meters from the house to feed them. After that, Quyet hid the knife in his shirt and went into the village to look for D.
At this time, Quyet saw D. walking alone on the street, so he followed her and told her to go home and get a sack to borrow. When D. just got home, Quyet took out a knife and slashed D. many times, causing the victim to collapse on the spot.
After committing the crime, Quyet cleaned the weapon, changed clothes and hid it, then continued to the field to herd cows.
That evening, D.'s older sister, Ha Anh D., came home from school and found her younger brother lying motionless on the floor with many wounds on his body. D. was taken to the emergency room by relatives, but the victim had already died. The murder occurred while D.'s parents were working in the fields.
Upon receiving the report, the Board of Directors of Ha Tinh Provincial Police directed the Criminal Police Department to coordinate with Huong Son District Police, the Criminal Techniques Department and the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Procuracy to urgently investigate and clarify the matter.
The results of the crime scene investigation and autopsy determined that the victim, Ha Trong D, died of multiple trauma, skull fracture, and many injuries on his body.
After zoning in, the police identified the perpetrator as Ha Trong Quyet, who was a cousin of the victim.
According to the source, the perpetrator shows signs of mental illness and has problematic behavioral capacity, but there is no management record or psychiatric assessment. The investigation agency is taking Quyet for behavioral capacity assessment to handle according to the provisions of the law.
