(Baonghean.vn) - A special class has 100% female students and all are ethnic minorities. However, in the 2020 High School Graduation Exam, more than half of the students in the class had a score of 26 points or higher in group C.

Study to escape early marriage

Lang Thi Ai My is a female student.highest scoreof class 12 C1 - Provincial Ethnic Minority High School with an average score of 28.25 points. In which, the component scores were also very high with Literature 9, History 9.75 and Geography 9.5. Receiving this result, My was very happy because the achieved score "opened the door" for My to enter the People's Procuracy Academy - the school that My dreamed of since high school.

My's score is currently the highest in class 12C1 and My is alsovaledictorianBlock Cof the Provincial Ethnic Minority High School. Of the three exams, although it is a bit regretful that the Literature exam only got 9 points, this is the exam that My is most interested in. Talking about this, the female student who grew up in Ke Noc village, Mau Duc commune, Con Cuong district shared: The essay topic requires candidates to comment on the statement "Living fully in the present will bring life, no matter how small, to tomorrow". This is also the thought, the thing that I always aim for to make life better and better.

3 years ago, since I was able to study atProvincial Ethnic Minority High School, Lang Thi Ai My has also gradually conquered herself. Therefore, from a girl in a remote area, always shy and self-confident, Ai My has become more and more confident and sociable with her friends. She also admitted that "due to my family's circumstances, I suffered from psychological problems since I was a child" but then her friends, parents, and teachers encouraged her to find her passion in studying. More importantly, she saw her parents' joy when she achieved high results... Ai My's greatest achievement while in high school was the third prize in Geography at the Provincial Excellent Student Competition in grade 11.

My’s family lives in Mau Duc commune, her parents are farmers and have not escaped the “near-poor” household for many years. Although they really want their child to study well, after 4 years of boarding school in the district and 3 years of boarding school in the province, her parents could not support My much and she was mostly independent. Knowing the family’s situation and especially not wanting her to follow the path of “dropping out of school and getting married early” like her older sister, My told herself that she had to try hard to study, must and get into university.

During her high school years, My was always a diligent and hardworking student. In addition to studying in class, My spent the rest of her time at the dormitory diligently reviewing old lessons and solving problems. My's secret to studying is also very simple: for Literature, she must "prepare the lesson carefully before class, read the lesson carefully, understand the lesson", and for History, she must "remember the events as she learns". Geography is her most passionate subject, so My studied very easily. She also felt a bit regretful because if she had not been so psychological, My's Geography test could have been a 10 because My made a mistake on a fairly easy question that fell right in the part of the knowledge that she had carefully reviewed.

In the same class as My, Lau Y Vi is also an outstanding candidate because since grade 11, Vi has been an excellent student in the province in History. AtHigh School Graduation Exam 2020,Vi got 26.5 points, including 9.5 in History, 9 in Geography and 8 in Literature. Although the score was quite high, Vi was not satisfied with this result because he was confident that he could do better.

In class 12C1, Vi is an active member in all movements because he studies well, sings well, dances well and participates in many extracurricular activities. Vi's personality is very different from other Mong students, Vi considers himself an "extrovert".

Since her school days in Muong Long (Ky Son), the girl had dreamed of returning to Vinh and going to Hanoi to study at university, so she was determined to pursue her studies even though “all my friends around the house dropped out of school to get married early”. Currently, Vi is confident that she will be admitted to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, majoring in Oriental Studies. This is also the major in which Vi is confident that she will be able to fully develop her abilities and talents so that she will have the opportunity to explore many new lands in the future.

Special all-girls class

Class 12C1 – Provincial Ethnic Minority High School has 35 members and all are female. Of these, 100% of the students are ethnic minorities, many of whom come from poor or near-poor households.

For the above reasons, maintaining a stable class size over the past three years has been a challenge. Even in grade 12, even though they had entered their final year, due to difficulties, many female students decided to only take the exam to graduate or planned not to go to university. However, these students later became candidates with very high exam scores, such as Lu Thi Tha (Thai ethnic group, 27.25 points), Lin Thi Tuoi (Khmu ethnic group, 26 points). In the class, there were many other students with very high exam scores, even though block C is not an exam block where it is difficult to get a score of 9 or 10, such as Le Ha My (28 points), Nguyen Thi Thuong (27.25 points)...

Receiving this result, the head teacher Nguyen Thi Huong could not hide her joy because in the past three years, she is the one who understands very well each situation and each effort of the students. She also shared: When I first took the class, because the students' entrance scores were not too high, I was a bit worried. Many of these students were away from their families for the first time, studying far away, and were shy and quiet, so I had to be close to them and encourage them regularly.

From the shy little girls who were “far from the mountains and forests”, coming to Vinh and being cared for by teachers, after three years of studying, they have also grown up. Therefore, in the provincial excellent student competition in the 2018-2019 school year, the class had 8/8 students participating and all won prizes - a rare feat, including 3 Second prizes, 2 Third prizes and 3 Encouragement prizes. In the 2019-2020 school year, the class had 36/36 students achieving excellent academic performance.

In the 2020 High School Graduation Exam alone, 32/36 students scored 24 points or higher in block C, 20 students scored 26 points or higher, and 2 students scored 28 points or higher. Students in the class include Lang Vi Ha Thuong, who was awarded a certificate of merit "Recognizing students studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh's style", Ha Thi Na, in addition to winning second prize in the Provincial Excellent Student Competition, also won a Gold Medal in the Tinh Hoa Luong Nghi Kiem Phap performance competition (A school in Vovinam martial arts, at the Phu Dong Health Festival 2020), a subject that she has pursued for many years with great passion...

The success of oneclassIn particular, it has also helped thousands of other ethnic minority students in the whole province. And for them, studying is not only for themselves, for their families, but also for their dream of returning to their homeland to change their village...
