Fire raged and burned down a grocery store, causing damage of 3.5 billion VND.
(Baonghean.vn) - A grocery store located on National Highway 1A, passing through Quynh Luu District (Nghe An), suddenly caught fire, burning down all the goods. Hundreds of people, fire police, and district police gathered to put out the fire at night.

According to witnesses at the scene, before the fire broke out, the whole family was not at home but went to a neighbor's house to eat the wages paid for the new house. When people discovered the fire and smoke in the shop, they called the homeowner to inform him. At the same time, they informed the authorities, Fire Police Department No. 4 located in Hoang Mai town to mobilize forces and vehicles to urgently go to the scene.

About 20 minutes later, 2 fire trucks and hundreds of firefighters, district police, commune police and local residents put out the fire. Although the firefighters tried their best, the store was filled with milk, candy, alcohol... which easily caught fire and burned very quickly. At 8:50 p.m. the same day, the authorities were still fighting the fire, preventing it from spreading and catching fire inside the house and neighboring households.

According to initial investigation, the cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit. The total damage to the burned goods is estimated at more than 3.5 billion VND.
Due to the fire on National Highway 1A, traffic from Vinh to Hanoi was partially congested.
