The police of Yen Dinh district, Thanh Hoa province, have just investigated and arrested a group of people who specialized in fraud and property appropriation in the form of lottery numbers. The arrested subjects include: Pham Quoc Khanh (born in 2002); Vo Van Diep (born in 1993); Vo Van Tan (born in 1993), all from Huong Van ward, Huong Tra town, Thua Thien Hue province.
Previously, through the work of grasping the situation on cyberspace, Yen Dinh District Police discovered many fake Facebook accounts named "Hoang Manh Tuan", "Le Thi Kim Khoa", "Phan Gia Vu", "Le Thanh Hung"... posting articles impersonating employees and leaders of the Northern Lottery Company, who have the ability to know in advance and intervene in the results of the Northern Lottery drawing, so they can give 100% accurate lottery numbers.
Identifying this as a fraud ring specializing in property appropriation, Yen Dinh District Police have established a special project to fight and eradicate it.

With professional measures and a spirit of fierce attack and suppression against criminals, after a short time of mobilizing forces and focusing on the fight, Yen Dinh District Police have eradicated this ring, arresting 3 subjects including: Pham Quoc Khanh (born 2002); Vo Van Diep (born 1993); Vo Van Tan (born 1993), all in Huong Van ward, Huong Tra town, Thua Thien Hue province.

In coordination with Huong Tra Town Police, Yen Dinh District Police continued to simultaneously search the residences of these 3 subjects, seizing 4 computers; 14 mobile phones; 3 color printers; 30 SIM cards and SIM blanks; 15 bank accounts of various types; 30 fake name tags of employees and leaders of the lottery company; 50 minutes of giving numbers; 2 seals and many other exhibits related to the subjects' criminal acts.
At the police station, the subjects confessed that around October 2023, due to needing money for personal expenses, the subjects went online to learn tricks to commit fraud and appropriate property through the form of giving out lottery numbers. Through initial verification, the subjects committed fraud against hundreds of victims across the country, with an estimated initial illegal profit of over 5 billion VND.
