Attraction in the coastal tourist city of Cua Lo

Coming to Cua Lo these days, the most noticeable thing is the preparation for the 2016 sea tourism season, from urban beautification, tour and route construction to infrastructure investment. This year, tours highly appreciated by tourists such as Lan Chau Island - Ngu Island; Cua Lo - Uncle Ho's hometown; Cua Lo - Vinh - Hung Nguyen; Cua Lo - Tien Dien... continue to be maintained. In addition, developing and expanding eco-tourism combined with entertainment and spirituality in Ngu Island, visiting craft villages, focusing on building new products such as cultural and artistic tourism, enjoying Vi and Giam folk songs at the beach park.

We met Ms. Lai Thi Thu Huyen from Tu Liem (Hanoi) at a recent conference in Cua Lo. She said that she is the daughter-in-law of Nghe An (her husband is from Dien Chau), so she loves Nghe folk songs and knows many ancient Vi and Giam tunes. She and her family have traveled to many places and also love Hue folk songs on the Huong River. Therefore, if Cua Lo can do the same as Hue, it will surely attract more tourists, and they will stay in Cua Lo longer.

In addition to improving the quality of existing tourism products such as beach tourism, resort tourism; visiting cultural, historical and scenic sites, in the 2016 tourist season, coming to Cua Lo, tourists will be satisfied with sports, shopping, commercial tourism; resort tourism and health care tourism. Thu Thuy Ward - the key tourist ward of Cua Lo coastal urban area is also implementing the construction of a night food court in the area.

How to upgrade Cua Lo urban area seems to be a problem that has been solved, there is no lack of determination but it needs investors with vision and enthusiasm. Mr. Vo Van Hung - Vice Chairman of Cua Lo Town People's Committee said that in order for Cua Lo to become a type 2 urban area, an important economic growth pole of Nghe An province, in 2016, attracting investment continues to be identified as an important solution for Cua Lo town in socio-economic development. The coastal town is focusing on completing the planning system for synchronous infrastructure construction, reviewing mechanisms and policies on tax, land, administrative procedures, calling for investment, removing difficulties and obstacles, creating the most favorable conditions for investors and businesses to invest in Cua Lo town...

The 19-storey Summer Hotel on Binh Minh Street is being completed and put into use during the 2016 tourist season.

Following many important works and projects that have been started and put into effective operation such as Kim Lien Hotel, Muong Thanh Cua Lo,... currently, a number of large restaurants and hotels are being invested in and built to create a synchronous infrastructure to meet the increasing needs of tourists. Along Binh Minh Street, a large-scale, modern hotel is currently in existence. Ms. Cu Thi Huyen Trang - Hotel Executive Director, Son Trang Construction Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company said: In 2014, she invested more than 250 billion VND to build the 19-storey Summer Hotel, 250 rooms, 4-star standard, with an infinity pool, located on Binh Minh Street. Currently, the contractor is rushing to complete the project to put it into operation right in the 2016 tourist season.

One of the expected projects is VinGroup Corporation, which is taking steps to implement tourism projects on Song Ngu Island and Cua Hoi area, Cua Lo town. Currently, the investor is surveying, planning; building a cable car from Nghi Hoa to Ngu Island. In addition, there is a resort villa project of Golden City Company investing in building a 5-star hotel with a scale of 21 floors. The 18-hole golf course project is continuing to be implemented; Hong Thai SIT project has been acquired by Bao Khanh Hamico Company and the investor is also implementing items such as internal roads, completing villas, etc. These projects are being completed, creating a highlight for Cua Lo tourism.

Urban beautification, expanding tourism space

The development orientation of the town is to continue expanding the tourism space to the Southeast, especially developing potential resort and entertainment services in Nghi Huong ward and Lam riverside road. On another level, Cua Lo is submitting to the province for approval to expand the urban space to the West and South of the town.

Continuing to implement projects approved by the Prime Minister such as: opening Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard in Cua Lo area; Cua Lo coastal tourism urban infrastructure; resort area on the east side of Binh Minh Street; eco-tourism area along Lam River,...

This year, Cua Lo invested in upgrading Sao Nam Street, opening Road 3 through Nghi Loc area... Investing in upgrading decorative electricity on main roads; beach parks, continuing to install complete house number plates, attaching nameplates on some inner-city roads, ensuring urban civilization.

The plan for 2020 is to focus on planning kiosks on the east side of Binh Minh Street. The park area on the east side of Binh Minh Street from Nguyen Xi Street to the 14th crossroad will be re-planned in the direction of arranging modern and high-quality service clusters. Adjust and expand Binh Minh Street to the east by 7m, arrange pedestrian paths and green trees and grass.

The area east of Binh Minh Street from Square 2 to Lam River Road will be planned as a service area to attract investors. Planning functional areas throughout the town to serve tourism according to the criteria of a coastal tourist city.
