Nghe An's Youth Volunteer Force successfully completed its tasks in 2024.
On the afternoon of December 26th, the Youth Volunteer Force of Nghe An province held a conference to summarize its activities in 2024 and plan for 2025.

In 2024, despite facing many difficulties, theYouth Volunteer UnitThe set targets and plans have been fulfilled. Notably, key crops such as tea and turmeric have been cared for, maintained, and developed stably.
In 2024, the total area of crops cultivated by the Youth Volunteer Brigades reached 759.5 hectares of tea and 18 hectares of turmeric. The total harvest of the main crops, fresh tea leaves, was 4,428 tons; fresh turmeric tubers was 396 tons, bringing the total product value to 25.357 billion VND.
Youth Volunteer units have consistently focused on developing livestock farming, prioritizing investment in high-value livestock models. Along with investments from the people, the Youth Volunteer Brigades have also taken advantage of support from provincial and district programs to help people increase their livestock and poultry herds.

The total livestock population reached 2,959 head, and poultry 37,500 head, with an estimated total value of over 17.591 billion VND. Training and extension work in agricultural production, supplementing production knowledge for team members and the people, continued to receive attention. During the year, 11 training courses were organized, transferring scientific and technical knowledge to over 1,140 people.
In 2024, the provincial plan assigned the Youth Volunteer Brigades to carry out forest protection and development work on 17,784.23 hectares, an increase of 1,589.28 hectares compared to 2023. Besides the area contracted to the specialized protection force of the brigades, the majority of the area was contracted to local people and communities in villages and hamlets for protection.
Thanks to effective forest fire prevention and control measures, no forest fires occurred in the areas under the command of the general unit in 2024.

Cultural, sports, and social welfare activities were also well-maintained and given attention by the units. The units organized well-planned activities to support people in the North affected by Typhoon Yagi, paid tribute to their ancestors, and presented gifts to students with outstanding academic achievements.
At the Phuc Son Drug Rehabilitation Center, the facility is currently managing and educating 149 trainees and reintegrating 198 individuals into the community. During the year, the center organized three vocational training courses in steel welding, electrical engineering, and food processing, achieving 100% of its set targets.
The facility continues to pay attention to and effectively implement the management, education, and vocational training of the target group, thereby preventing serious problems in the treatment, rehabilitation, and management of these individuals.

At the conference, delegates also frankly pointed out some shortcomings and limitations such as: The advisory and operational guidance work of the Youth Volunteer Force Command and the leaders of some Youth Volunteer units was sometimes not decisive, lacked initiative, and was not timely. The progress of dissolving the Youth Volunteer General Teams was still slow. The process of advising and proposing to superiors on the unit's activities was not proactive or regular. The updating of new legal regulations was sometimes not timely, leading to a reactive approach in the implementation of tasks.
In his concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Tran Linh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, praised and acknowledged the efforts of the Provincial Youth Volunteer Force in contributing to the successful completion of the province's key political tasks and priorities in 2024.
In the coming period, the Youth Volunteer units need to continue to promote their role as a vanguard force, work creatively, strive to overcome limitations and shortcomings in 2024, and effectively fulfill the force's mission in the new situation.
