Russian armed forces destroyed at least 28 Ukrainian tanks, including eight Leopards.
Russian armed forces have repelled a new offensive by the Ukrainian army in the southern direction of Donetsk, destroying more than 1,500 Ukrainian servicemen, 28 tanks, including eight Leopards, as well as three French AMX-10RC wheeled tanks, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
According to this agency, on June 5 the enemy continued its attack, after focusing its efforts mainly on the Vremevsky cliff area in the southern direction of Donetsk.
To repel the enemy, Russia unleashed a combined firepower of army aviation, attack and tactical aircraft, missile and artillery forces, as well as heavy flamethrower systems. This was the result of active and courageous joint action by units of the Eastern Army Group. The enemy was stopped and unable to carry out its mission.

"The assault formations and military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered significant losses. The total losses of the Ukrainian army in the southern direction of Donetsk amounted to more than 1,500 Ukrainian servicemen, 28 tanks, including 8 German-made Leopards, 3 French-made AMX-10 wheeled tanks and 109 armored fighting vehicles," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
