Ukrainian Armed Forces fired 10 missiles into Russia's Belgorod province
The Ukrainian Armed Forces on the morning of January 18, local time, fired 10 missiles at the city of Belgorod, Belgorod province, all of which were shot down by Russian air defense systems, the region's Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov announced in a video posted on Telegram.

“Specifically, regarding the morning shelling of Belgorod and Belgorod region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine: there were 10 missiles flying towards us, but all of them were successfully shot down by our air defense systems,” Gladkov said.
The governor made it clear that there was no information about damage yet, except for a broken window at a house in Belgorod province.
Earlier, the Telegram channel of the City Hall and the Governor posted a warning about the risk of a missile attack on the city, advising residents to stay indoors and away from windows. The alert was later lifted.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces regularly bombard Russia's central and border provinces, carry out drone attacks and conduct sabotage.
The Belgorod region has adopted the yellow level of the terrorist threat alert. This alert level provides for enhanced law enforcement agencies, checks at railway stations and places of mass gatherings, placing medical institutions on high alert and increased protection of strategic facilities.
