Postpone the amendment of the Law on Prevention and Combat of Corruption.
National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said the Government had proposed postponing the submission of the revised Law on Anti-Corruption to the second session of the 14th National Assembly.
Speaking at the opening of the 4th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the morning of October 3rd, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan stated that the Government had requested that the Law on Prevention and Combat of Corruption not be submitted at the 2nd session of the 14th National Assembly.
According to Ms. Ngan, the reason the Government made the proposal was to wait until after the 10-year review of the Central Resolution No. 3 (10th Party Congress) on strengthening the Party's leadership in the fight against corruption and waste, so that there would be a full basis when the draft Law is submitted to the National Assembly for "comprehensive, serious, practical, and effective revision."
