The past partnership between businesswoman Doan Di Bang and beauty queen Thuy Tien is attracting public attention. This is due to both of them recently being involved in various legal issues related to products they sell or promote.
Specifically, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu, husband of Ms. Doan Di Bang, was arrested on charges of producing and selling counterfeit goods. At the same time, Miss Thuy Tien was also recommended for prosecution by the Police Investigation Agency for the crime of "Deceiving customers." These events led the online community to search for and share videos and images recording the time when the two were still working together.

According to initial investigations, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu, General Director of VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited, is accused of trading in 1,652 counterfeit Hanayuki Sunscreen Body products. These products were manufactured at EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company.
The forensic examination report from the Institute of Criminal Science in Ho Chi Minh City concluded that the actual sun protection factor (SPF) of the product was 25.82, only reaching 51.64% of the SPF 50 stated on the packaging.
Miss Thuy Tien and the accusation of "Deceiving customers"
Regarding Miss Thuy Tien, according to information from the Ministry of Public Security, the Police Investigation Agency has issued its investigation conclusion, recommending her prosecution along with four other defendants in the case related to the Kera vegetable candy product.
The investigation determined that Thuy Tien participated in promoting the product despite knowing the very low fiber content (0.935%) and the unknown ingredients used in its production. She admitted to the authorities that, as a celebrity, she had a responsibility to consumers.
Looking back at past collaborations
In late 2022, Doan Di Bang and Miss Thuy Tien appeared together in live streams to sell a lipstick product line. During the broadcasts, Ms. Doan Di Bang introduced Thuy Tien as a "brand ambassador" and emphasized the beauty queen's responsibility towards the product.
At that time, the two appeared to be close friends. They also announced that a portion of the revenue (30,000 VND per product) would be used for a Tet (Lunar New Year) gift fund for the needy, and customers would have the opportunity to attend a joint fan meet-up. However, after this sales campaign, no further information about the meet-up was released, and the two no longer appeared together.
