To address the pressing issues that have arisen recently, and to prepare thoroughly for the final rounds of the 2013 National Football Championship, the V.League Steering Committee, chaired by VFF President Nguyen Trong Hy, held an emergency meeting today.

In recent rounds, a series of incidents have occurred related to the organization of the tournament, especially regarding refereeing. Most recently, the "ghost goal" incident at Thanh Hoa stadium has become the focus of public attention.

A controversial incident occurred during the Thanh Hoa - XTSG match.

Yesterday, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province sent a letter to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the General Department of Physical Education and Sports requesting that they direct the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) to rectify the refereeing situation. This is a rare occurrence in Vietnamese football, highlighting the seriousness of the incident at the Thanh Hoa stadium.

It's not just the Thanh Hoa match; in recent rounds, the V.League has been plagued by incidents. Even the alleged bribery of the refereeing team, dating back to round 3, remains unresolved. Many other matches are also considered suspicious, but finding evidence is always difficult for the organizers.

Yesterday (July 31), the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province sent a document signed by Vice Chairman Vuong Van Viet to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requesting a rectification of refereeing practices and stating that if this situation continues, Thanh Hoa will not participate in the 2014 season.

Furthermore, the fact that the organizing committee agreed to let Saigon Xuan Thanh play both the first and second leg matches against Ninh Binh at Ninh Binh's home ground is also considered against the rules and needs to be reviewed and dealt with.
