(Baonghean.vn) - The traditional New Year BunPiMay (Laos) is recreated in a warm, joyful atmosphere with graceful dances and best wishes for the New Year.

On the afternoon of April 12, Vinh University organized welcoming activities.Traditional New Year Bunpimayfor Lao students.

Attending the event were Mr. Hoang Duc Cuong - General Secretary of Nghe An Friendship Organization; Representative of Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association; Colonel Dang Hung Ke - Representative of Liaison Committee of Lao volunteer military units and military experts in Nghe An and the presence of more than 500 Lao students studying and researching at Vinh University.

At the ceremony, the leaders of Vinh University sent best wishes to Laotian students on the occasion of Lao National Day; hoping that they would study hard, strive to practice and contribute to making their homeland increasingly rich and united, and to building ASEAN into a rich, united and friendly community.

On this occasion, the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Nghe An province awarded 5 scholarships to Laotian students with excellent achievements.
