On September 12, Dong Thap Provincial Police said that the Internal Political Security Department had invited an advertising KOL to work.online gamblingon social networks to clarify violations in the fields of post, telecommunications, information technology and advertising.

Accordingly, the Internal Political Security Department discovered that the Facebook account had more than 174,000 followers, regularly posting many videos with links and banners advertising illegal online gambling websites. Each video attracted hundreds of thousands to millions of views.

Through verification, the police identified BTK (28 years old, residing in My Tinh An commune - occupation: social media content producer) as the owner of the above Facebook account.

At the police station, K. admitted to posting more than 40 videos with links and banners advertising illegal online gambling websites on social networks, thereby illegally earning 3 million VND. K. admitted to the violation and voluntarily removed the videos with links and banners advertising online gambling.

According to the police, K.'s actions violated Point a, Clause 2, Article 33 of Decree 38/2021/ND-CP on administrative sanctions in the fields of culture and advertising (fine of 70-100 million VND); and also violated Point d, Clause 1, Article 101 of Decree 15/2020/ND-CP on telecommunications and information technology (fine of 5-10 million VND).
