Locally, Hung dropped out of school early, grew up and refused to work but got into gambling, leading to debt.
Although he had no criminal record, Hung often shoplifted locally. Hung was the youngest of three children, so he was somewhat spoiled.
The subject has a wife and two children, but he and his wife have been separated for many years.
The banana garden where the suspect dumped Ms. S's body was discovered by the authorities. |
When invited to the police station for questioning, Hung appeared very calm and answered almost all the questions posed by the investigators. However, using professional measures, the police station forced the subject to bow his head and confess to all his crimes.
According to the suspect's statement, at around 10am on October 1, Ms. S. came to Hung's house to ask for areca nuts to chew betel, but he said he didn't have any. A while later, the two sides exchanged words. During this process, Hung pushed Ms. S. to the floor and used a stick to hit her on the back of the neck, leaving her motionless on the spot.
Knowing that Mrs. S. was dead, Hung put the victim's body in a sack and dumped it in a banana bush on the side of the road a few dozen meters from the house.
During the process of disposing of the body, the subject saw that the victim had some valuable assets (1 necklace and 2 gold earrings) so he took them off and sold them.
Currently, the case is being further investigated and clarified by Vinh Phuc Provincial Police.
