Ly Nha Ky spent nearly 25 billion to promote Vietnam at the Cannes Film Festival
Former Tourism Ambassador sponsored all tourism and cinema promotion activities of the country during the 10-day prestigious film festival in France.
On the afternoon of May 9, in Ho Chi Minh City, Ly Nha Ky attended a press conference to announce information promoting the city's tourism and Vietnamese cinema at the upcoming 70th Cannes Film Festival (France).

Ly Nha Ky announced the amount of sponsorshipabout one million Euros (nearly 25 billion VND)not small, but not big compared to the opportunity to promote the country's image at international events. The amount of money was used to pay a French media company to design and produce billboards, and organize parties to introduce Vietnamese tourism and cinema.
"In fact, when I started working, I thought there would be many items arising due to the number of guests or because we wanted to do better. I announced the number not to show off my ability. I just wanted to say that I and many people did our best because we were proud of our country," the beauty shared.

Currently, Ly Nha Ky has hired three billboards, each withsize 21m x 3m, placeat the front of the Majestic Hotel - locationopposite the Cannes Film Festival venue. Billboardbelong toDepartment of Cinemawith images of Son Doong wonder - filming locationKong: Skull Island, the rest will be symbolic images of Ho Chi Minh City. BThis billboard was placed throughout the duration of the movie event.
In addition, representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and the Cinema Department also organized meetings with investors, the media, set up private booths... to call for cooperation and promote Vietnamese tourism and culture.

Ly Nha Ky shared that because she was busy with many activities, she did not focus on investing in her image when she went to Cannes. The beauty asked Vietnamese designers to come up with ideas and create outfits for her.
This year, Ly Nha Ky continues to be one of three individual sponsors for the Cinéfondation at the Cannes Film Festival, alongside Lebanese billionaire Mouna Ayoub and Ms. Oberfeld. She is the only Asian face to sponsor this organization for two consecutive years. The Cinéfondation was established with the desire to find new talent, nurture and contribute to training names for world cinema.
The 2017 Cannes Film Festival takes place from May 17 to 28. This is the first time the Vietnam Cinema Department has cooperated with the organizers of this film event.
