Lyon surpasses Man City, PSG, owns the best attacking trio in Europe
Nabil Fekir, Mariano Diaz and Memphis Depay have a combined 26 goals in Ligue 1, the best tally among Europe's top five leagues.
The young trio have accounted for 81% of Lyon's goals in 12 games. In the recent 5-0 demolition of Saint Ettiene, Depay and Mariano both scored, while captain Fekir scored twice. The result helped the French striker pocket his 11th goal of the season. Depay and Mariano also shared six and nine goals.

Lyon's trio's hunger for goals has also put them in the same situation as PSG at the beginning of the season. In the 5-0 victory at Troyes, Diaz and Depay fought over a penalty, recreating the Neymar-Cavani controversy at the beginning of the season. Depay took responsibility for the free kick for the Gerland team, refusing to let the young star who used to play for Real Madrid take it, despite being begged. The former Man Utd player scored two goals, while Diaz was still empty-handed.
The minor disagreement hasn't derailed Lyon. They're on a six-game winning streak, scoring 20 goals in total. Alongside the aforementioned trio, the former French champions also boast talented attackers like Bertrand Traore and Clement Grenier. Despite this, Lyon are still third in the table, behind PSG and Monaco.
The top three scorers in Europe also include PSG's Kylian Mbappe - Neymar - Edinson Cavani with 24 goals. Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling also scored 22 goals, although the Man City trio rarely started together.
