Madam Pang, the "boss" of the Thai national team, affirmed that Vietnam is the biggest obstacle in the journey to win the AFF Cup 2022 championship.

Madam Pang said: “Vietnam is currently ranked higher than us in FIFA. They also welcome a series of good players in the squad and above all, they will play at home at My Dinh in the first leg. At the AFF Cup 2022, Vietnam has not even conceded a goal so far. Without a doubt, this is the biggest obstacle that Thailand has to face. We will face Vietnam as the defending champions. Thailand will play with all our might under the witness of 40,000 fans. Hopefully, Thailand will have a good result against Vietnam, to have an advantage for the second leg at Thammasat Stadium.”

Also on January 12, to prepare for the match with Vietnam in the first leg of the final, the Thai team moved to My Dinh Stadium 20 minutes before the scheduled time.
