North Korean Ambassador to Malaysia Kang Chol accused Kuala Lumpur of "illegal acts" and "political intentions" in investigating the death of a North Korean citizen carrying a passport named Kim Chol.

"Malaysia will not be pressured or bullied," New Straits Times quoted Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak as telling reporters on February 21. "The comments from the North Korean ambassador were considered diplomatically rude."

A North Korean citizen carrying a passport named Kim Chol was murdered at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on February 13. Malaysia identified the victim as Kim Jong-nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Prime Minister Razak affirmed that Kuala Lumpur will investigate the case objectively. He said it would be better if all parties cooperated to resolve the case. "North Korea should help us find the truth," he said.

The man believed to be Kim Jong-nam was murdered.
