Malaysia refuses to withdraw charges against Doan Thi Huong

At the trial on the morning of March 14, Malaysian prosecutors refused to withdraw the murder charge against Doan Thi Huong for using the nerve agent VX to assassinate North Korean citizen Kim Chol.
The decision means that Doan Thi Huong remains the only suspect in custody. The trial will resume on April 1.
Doan Thi Huong, one of the two women accused of murdering North Korean citizen Kim Chol, appeared at the Kuala Lumpur court on the morning of March 14 after the trial scheduled for March 11 was postponed at the request of Doan Thi Huong's defense lawyer.
Indonesian suspect Siti Aisyah was released on March 11 after prosecutors withdrew charges against her.
Doan Thi Huong and Siti Aisyah are accused of murdering Kim Jong Nam by smearing VX nerve agent on his face at Kuala Lumpur airport in February 2017.
Both have pleaded innocent and said they thought they were taking part in a reality TV show. Four North Korean suspects accused of involvement in the case have fled Malaysia./.
