Manchester City 6 - 0 Watford: Rain of goals at Wembley

With this championship, Manchester City became the first club to win three domestic titles and completely dominate the foggy country in one season.

With superior squad quality, as well as showing the strength of the champion, after the starting whistle of referee Kevin Friend, Man City poured forward to press the field.

In the 4th minute of the match, Man City created trouble in front of goalkeeper Gomes' goal when Laporte tried his luck with a long-range shot that went over the bar.

In the 11th minute, Watford players counterattacked at lightning speed. Deulofeu created a pass for Pereyra to run down the empty space. Unfortunately, the Argentine midfielder could not beat Ederson in the face-to-face situation.

The game then gradually fell into the hands of Man City, the blue half of Manchester began to play their way and forced Watford into a defensive position.

However, after a few minutes of confusion, Watford gradually got into the rhythm of the match and played very uncomfortably. In the 21st minute, Doucoure fired a powerful shot that bounced off Kompany's hand in the penalty area. However, referee Kevin Friend did not award Watford a penalty because he thought the Man City captain had his arm close to his body.

With the opening goal, the reigning Premier League champions began to show their superiority when they controlled the ball more and created many opportunities towards Watford's goal. And the terrible destructive power once again made goalkeeper Gomes' net shake for the second time in the 39th minute of the match, when Bernardo Silva sent a pass that tore through Watford's defense for Sterling to run down and gently tap the ball in to score the second goal for Man City.

Entering the second half, the power still leaned towards the blue half of Manchester as they were still the team that controlled the ball more and dominated the game.

Two minutes into the second half, Gabriel Jesus had a chance to score in the match when he skillfully dribbled past a yellow-shirted defender and finished with his left foot but could not beat Gomes.

Trailing by two goals and with nothing to lose, Watford players pushed forward in search of a goal. However, the final combinations still lacked precision.

In the 58th minute of the match, Watford almost had a goal to reduce the gap when Deulofeu ran down to receive a pass from his teammate, then finished with his left foot, sending the ball flying past the post. This was Watford's most dangerous chance since the beginning of the second half.

However, before they could find a goal to reduce the gap, coach Javi Garcia's team received another bitter blow for the third time in the match, when Man City organized a quick counter-attack. Gabriel Jesus ran down to set up De Bruyne. The Belgian midfielder had just returned from injury but still managed to leave his mark, with a technical move, eliminating goalkeeper Gomes and then easily scoring the third goal for Man City in the 61st minute of the match.

In the 68th minute of the match, Gabriel Jesus put an end to all of Watford's efforts. In a quick attack, Belgian midfielder De Bruyne made a smart pass for Gabriel Jesus to break the offside trap and defeat goalkeeper Gomes in a one-on-one. The score was 4-0 for Man City.

The disaster for the "wasps" did not stop there when in the 81st minute of the match, in an exemplary attack, Bernardo Silva broke away with speed on the left wing and crossed like a set piece for Sterling to rush in and tap the ball into the net to score the 5th goal for Man City.

In a day of sublime play, Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne once again shone when he broke through on the right wing and crossed for Sterling to unleash two consecutive shots that defeated goalkeeper Gomes to score the 6th goal for Man City in the 87th minute of the match.

The match gradually drifted towards the final minutes, Watford struggled in desperation. The highlight of the whole match for Watford was a few shots by Doucoure but the ball was inaccurate or could not beat goalkeeper Ederson of Man City.

At the end of the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium, Man City with their superior strength destroyed Watford with a score of 6-0, thereby winning the FA Cup championship this season.
