According to Shanghai List, the 660,000 yuan worth of coins, packaged in 1,320 bundles, weigh 4 tons and are stacked more than 4 meters high.
The customer, named Gan, works at a gas station. He explained that the coins were collected from times the bus stopped to buy fuel. There are very few banks where he lives, so he decided to save up these coins to buy a car.
This isn't the first customer to use a large number of coins to pay.
In March, a man in Fujian bought his new apartment in Xi'an for 100,000 one-yuan coins.
