* Coffee prices end record rise?

According to experts and some businesses, domestic coffee prices have skyrocketed due to a short-term shortage of Robusta supply. Currently, people have very little coffee left in their stocks, while businesses are purchasing and exporting as much as they can.

However, in the short term, due to supply shortage, domestic Robusta coffee prices will still maintain high prices.

* Thanh Ha early litchi crop is bad, price is good

Thanh Ha early litchi output (Hai Duong) this year is less than every year, however litchi price is much higher than previous years.

At this time, Thanh Ha district begins to harvest early lychee. The district's early lychee is mainly concentrated in Thanh Quang commune and Ha Dong area. The main early lychee varieties are white egg yolk, spiny egg yolk and pink egg yolk.

This year's lychee crop is bad but the price is much higher than last year.

Gardeners in Thanh Quang commune, Thanh Ha district said that due to little rain during the fruit-setting period and prolonged hot weather, this year's early lychee crop is much sweeter than previous years. However, the yield is only half that of last year's early lychee crop.

Every year, the price of early lychee is always higher than that of main and late season lychee. At the beginning of the harvest, the price of lychee was up to 80 - 90 thousand VND/kg. At this time, the price of lychee has dropped a lot, the price of white egg lychee is from 40 - 45 thousand VND/kg, the price of thorny egg lychee is from 30 - 35 thousand VND/kg, the price of pink lychee is nearly 30 thousand VND/kg, however, compared to the beginning of last year, the price of lychee this year is 30 - 50% higher.

The early buyers of lychee this year also said that this year's lychee output is less than previous years, however, the price of lychee this year is much higher than previous years, ranging from 30 - 50 thousand VND/kg depending on the type. The lychee is purchased and sold immediately, there is no backlog of lychee in the warehouse, many places do not have lychee to buy.

In Thanh Ha, the harvest time for early lychees including white egg-shaped lychees and spiny egg-shaped lychees starts from the second half of May, pink lychees from the beginning of June, and main-season lychees from mid-June.

The whole district has over 3,300 hectares; of which, 85 concentrated lychee production areas have a total area of ​​969 hectares with an area of ​​05 hectares/area or more. The whole district has 39 areas recognized as meeting VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards. In 2022, the whole district will harvest 44 thousand tons of lychees of all kinds, with a value of over 1,360 billion VND.

* Steel prices hit 3-year low
