On the morning of April 5, La Gi Town Police (Binh Thuan) said they had taken statements and investigated the case of a young man using a knife and gasoline to threaten to burn his girlfriend.

Accordingly, Nguyen Minh Tan (nickname Nhi, born in 1990, residing in Phuoc Hoi ward - La Gi town) and H. used to love each other but broke up. On the evening of April 3, H. was on her way home from work when Tan knocked her off her bike and threatened to burn her with gasoline if she did not agree to get back together with Tan. Fortunately, H. was helped by local people at that time and returned home safely.
Not stopping there, on the afternoon of April 4, Tan continued to buy gasoline and met H., then put the knife on the saddle and asked H. to go with him.
Upon receiving the report, La Gi Town Police deployed forces to search for him. At 9 p.m. the same day, they discovered Tan carrying H. near a parking lot in La Gi Town, so they restrained and arrested him. Upon inspection, Tam was found to be carrying 4 knives and 1 bottle of gasoline.
Currently, the police are continuing to investigate the case.
