Bring more than 17 million counterfeit money to deposit in the bank

On the afternoon of May 27, Binh Chanh District Police said they were coordinating with Ho Chi Minh City Security Department to investigate the origin of the counterfeit money that two customers brought to Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank) (Binh Chanh branch) to deposit.

According to the investigation agency, at noon two days ago, Tran Phuong Thao (29 years old) and Le Van Cach (27 years old), both from Ben Tre, brought 87 VND 200,000 bills to the above bank to deposit.

Here, the staff discovered that all the money was counterfeit. The bank staff extended the transaction time and secretly called the police.

Thao and Cach were invited to the police station for questioning. The investigation agency is clarifying the origin of the money.
