On May 13th, the expectant mother was taken to the operating room. With intense focus and extensive experience, the obstetricians, anesthesiologists, nurses, and technicians successfully delivered a healthy baby boy weighing 2,800 grams, bringing overwhelming joy to the family and the entire medical team.

Immediately after ensuring the baby's safety, the team quickly moved on to phase two – removing the uterine fibroids. A total of nine fibroids of varying sizes, the largest measuring 6x7 cm, were successfully removed. Importantly, the mother's uterus was preserved intact – a crucial factor for both her physical and psychological health. The prevalence of uterine fibroids in pregnant women ranges from 1.6% to 2.7%. This condition can cause many dangerous complications during pregnancy and childbirth, such as premature birth, abnormal fetal presentation, uterine contraction disorders leading to prolonged labor, and even postpartum hemorrhage. Simultaneous cesarean section and fibroid removal require careful consideration and should only be performed at specialized medical facilities with modern equipment and experienced medical staff to ensure maximum safety for both mother and baby.

The surgery not only yielded positive treatment results for the mother but also demonstrated the professional competence and sense of responsibility of the medical team at Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital. Over the past period, the hospital has successfully handled many complex cases during pregnancy, while continuously striving to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, aiming for patient safety and satisfaction.
