Masan High-Tech Materials develops products for green energy technology

(Baonghean.vn) - Masan High-Tech Materials - a member company of Masan Group is one of 300 prestigious and typical domestic and international enterprises participating in the Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition 2023, at the National Innovation Center. The event takes place from October 28 to November 1.

Masan High-Tech Materials (MHT) is the world's leading producer of high-tech tungsten, with manufacturing facilities in Vietnam, Germany, Canada and China and two research and development centers in Germany and Vietnam. MHT is a member company ofMasan Group, currently owns the Nui Phao polymetallic tungsten mine in Thai Nguyen.

Masan High-Tech Materials' high-tech materials products have reached the global market. Specifically, 45% of the company's products are sold in Europe, 22% are sold in North America, 18% are manufactured in China and sold to the Chinese market; 15% are sold in the rest of the world. Masan High-Tech Materials has a wide customer network, with more than 300 customers in 30 different countries.

In 2022, Masan High-Tech Materials invested in Nyobolt to develop a battery line using high-tech tungsten materials with fast charging speed, superior safety and 10 times more capacity than conventional batteries to meet the world's trend of using clean fuel. Recently, Nyobolt launched an electric car model that can be fully charged in less than 6 minutes. This is a record charging speed, promising to change the future of the electric vehicle industry.

In early 2023, Masan High-Tech Materials launched the Tungsten powder brand "starck2charge"registered for global copyright, used in the production of fast and safe Li-ion batteries. This product is expected to help solve new energy problems and create a clean energy ecosystem, especially playing an important role in the electric vehicle industry. Next, Masan High-Tech Materials continues to launch a mixed tungsten powder product serving industries using 3D printing technology with high stability and purity, especially suitable for the medical field. These are completely new generations of products, new solutions of Masan High-Tech Materials, meeting the needs of advanced technology companies and global industries.

Through research projects and simulation experiments, Masan High-Tech Materials has developed and perfected a recycling process that allows for the recovery of all Lithium, Nickel, Copper, Cobalt, and Manganese from waste battery products; and has also developed specific refining formulas to achieve higher Tungsten recovery efficiency.

Masan High-Tech Materials continuously seeks and establishes closed-loop systems to reuse, recycle and renew materials, reducing dependence on raw materials and limiting waste generation. Integrating AI into the operating system, helping to respond faster to changes in operating conditions and optimize its processes. At the same time, developing new products from mining waste streams into magnetite concentrate for the steel industry, fluorspar additives for the cement industry, etc.

These outstanding technological achievements help Masan High-Tech Materials no longer depend on primary supply in mineral exploitation but also promote a circular business model through mining waste right in urban areas, collecting, processing production waste and recycling scrap, returning production materials, and end-of-life assets to become raw materials to create new materials and new products. Masan High-Tech Materials is currently striving to implement the project to build the first and largest Tungsten recycling plant in Asia in Thai Nguyen. With the goal of making Vietnam a leading center for recycling Tungsten and precious metals in the region.
