Conflict leads to two brothers killing a fellow villager.

(Baonghean.vn) – Due to a conflict during a drinking session, two brothers, Vi Van Dau (1969) and Vi Van Than (1968), beat Luong Van Vong (1977), also residing in Lung village, Tam Thai commune (Tuong Duong district), to death.

According to Mr. Luong Van Thao, Head of the Tam Thai Commune Police, the Tuong Duong District Police are currently holding Vi Van Dau and Vi Van Than, both residing in Lung village, Tam Thai commune, Tuong Duong district, in custody for investigation into the crime of murder.

Earlier, at around 7 PM on August 16th, Mr. Luong Van Vong and Mr. Vi Van Than had an argument during a drinking session. Afterwards, Mr. Luong Van Vong left.

After the argument, Vi Van Than called his younger brother, Vi Van Dau, to talk to Luong Van Vong. An exchange of words ensued, and Dau punched Vong in the neck, causing Vong to fall and hit his head on the ground.

Mr. Vong was taken to the Tam Thai commune health station, then transferred to Tuong Duong district general hospital, and then to the provincial hospital. However, due to the severity of his injuries, Mr. Vong passed away at 9 PM on August 17th.

Local authorities have also visited Mr. Vong's family to offer condolences and organize the funeral according to local customs for his body.
