Conflict while eating, took knife and stabbed fellow countryman in the head

While eating at the cafeteria, a conflict arose. Hoang Khuong Duy (from Dien Chau commune, Nghe An) took a kitchen knife and stabbed his colleague in the head, causing the victim to be hospitalized in critical condition.

On the afternoon of August 18, Mr. Pham Ba Nhan - Deputy Chief of Police of Trung Son Commune, Quan Hoa District (Thanh Hoa) said that an incident had just occurred in the area where a young man was stabbed in the head in the office cafeteria.

The victim is being treated at the hospital.

Accordingly, at around 7:00 p.m. on August 17, at the canteen of Factory 1, Trung Son Hydropower Plant (located in Trung Son Commune, Quan Hoa District), Mr. Tran Van Ngan (born in 1991, from Nghe An) was stabbed in the head with a knife by his colleague, Hoang Khuong Duy (born in 1985, residing in Dien My Commune, Dien Chau District, Nghe An Province).

After the incident, the authorities of Quan Hoa district were present at the scene to quickly take the victim to the emergency room at Mai Chau District General Hospital, Hoa Binh province, and now he has been transferred to Viet Duc Hospital (Hanoi) to perform surgery to remove the knife from his head.

As for Duy, he was later detained by the Quan Hoa District Police Investigation Agency. Mr. Nhan added that the initial cause was determined to be a conflict between Mr. Ngan and Mr. Duy over dinner, which led to a fight.

Currently, the case is still being investigated and clarified.
