Conflict while singing karaoke, brought gun to fight
(Baonghean.vn) - While singing karaoke, Duong's group had a conflict with another group. The two then made an appointment to resolve the conflict on Tan Phuong Bridge (Vinh Tan Ward, Vinh City). Duong and his brother brought 2 guns and 35 bullets to the fight.
Vinh City Police Department said they are temporarily detaining Cao Ngoc Duong, residing in Tan Phuong block, Vinh Tan ward (Vinh City) for robbery. It is worth mentioning that Duong is a playboy and uses military weapons whenever he has conflicts with others.
In Tan Phuong block, everyone knows about Duong's playboy ways. As the third son in a family of 5 siblings, after finishing high school, Duong often followed a group of unemployed young people, ready to pick fights with the other side.

In January 2013, when he had just turned 24, Cao Ngoc Duong was arrested by Vinh City Police for disturbing public order. Later, Vinh City People's Court sentenced Duong to 15 months in prison for the above crime, but gave him a suspended sentence.
After escaping prison, Duong got married and had children. Because he had no stable job, when Nguyen Thanh Binh, a resident of Truong Thi ward, Vinh city - a subject with a previous conviction for property theft - whispered to Duong to join in the theft of 6.1 billion VND on Tuan Thuy passenger bus, Duong nodded in agreement.
On February 15, Binh took Duong to Vinh City Hospital to buy bandages and red medicine, then returned to the hotel to bandage himself and pretend to be a traffic accident victim. Because Binh wore a hooded sweatshirt, a baseball cap, and sunglasses, the bus owner Tuan Thuy did not recognize the face of the bus assistant who was off duty.
On the night of February 15, 2017, after successfully stealing 6.1 billion VND from the Tuan Thuy sleeper bus with Nguyen Thanh Binh, Duong took half of the money and went home to hide it.
That night, Cao Ngoc Duong used the stolen "spoils of war" to treat a group of friends to karaoke at a bar on Phan Dinh Phung Street, Vinh City. While singing, Duong's group had a conflict with another group of young men, including Nguyen Van Nhat (born in 1989, residing in Hong Son Ward, Vinh City) and Hoang Van Sang (born in 1995, residing in Hai Thanh Block, Nghi Hai Ward, Cua Lo Town).
When the 113 Police and the Cua Nam Ward Police arrived at the scene, the two groups of young men had dispersed. At around 10 p.m. the same day, Cao Ngoc Duong was having dinner alone on Nguyen Van Troi Street, Vinh City, when Nguyen Van Ha called and said: "Go back to Tan Phuong Bridge, the Japanese group is preparing to come find us."
Cao Ngoc Duong ran home to get a cloth bag containing an AK gun, an American hunting rifle, and a bag containing dozens of different types of ammunition. He and Cao Ngoc Long (Duong's brother) rode a motorbike to the Tan Phuong bridge area near the riverbank and met Nguyen Van Ha waiting there.

Duong put the bag containing guns and bullets on the ground and opened it for Ha to see and said: "There are enough guns and bullets here, don't worry". After saying that, Duong called some of his juniors and said: "Go to Tan Phuong bridge immediately, the stuff is here".
When Duong's group and Nguyen Van Nhat's group faced each other, preparing weapons for a decisive battle, the 113 Police force and Vinh Tan Ward Police arrived. Seeing that, Duong took 2 guns and hid them at the base of a tree next to the riverbank, but the ammunition bag was not thrown away in time so it was discovered and confiscated by the 113 Police force.
During the search, the police discovered and seized two guns that Duong had thrown at the base of a tree. That same night, the 113 Police force brought Cao Ngoc Duong and Nguyen Van Ha to Vinh Tan Ward Police Station for questioning, then transferred Cao Ngoc Duong along with two guns and dozens of bullets to the Vinh City Police Department to investigate and clarify the act of illegally storing military weapons.
At the Vinh City Police headquarters, Cao Ngoc Duong stated that he picked up 2 guns, 1 ammunition box and 35 bullets of various types near Tecco Lake, Vinh Tan Ward, Vinh City on February 14, 2017, then hid them in the wall of his house to use when having conflicts with others.
On February 22, 2017, the Criminal Techniques Department of the Provincial Police concluded that the 2 guns and 35 bullets of various types sent for specific examination by the Investigation Agency of Vinh City Police were as follows: The gun marked S1 with the gun number XK70202P is a military gun produced by the (former) Soviet Union. Currently, the gun can still be used to shoot.
The S2 gun with the STEVENS-SAVAGEARMSNAT-USA symbol is originally a STEVENS hunting gun, 12 caliber (caliper12) made in the US, the barrel has been shortened and reprocessed. The gun has the same features as a military weapon, and is still usable for shooting.
