Conflict in building new rural roads, slapped neighbor to death
Hoang Ba Quang (40 years old) was sentenced to 5 years in prison for beating his female neighbor to death during a conflict during the construction of a new rural road.

At the trial on September 6, the panel of judges assessed that the behavior of Hoang Ba Quang (residing in Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh) was a crime.Intentional injury; just because of a small conflict, taking away the life of another person, must be dealt with severely for general deterrence and prevention.
According to the indictment, at about 9:30 a.m. on March 21, 2018, during the construction of a new rural road, Quang's family had a conflict with the family of Ms. Dang Thi Hien (69 years old, residing in residential group 6, Cam Xuyen town, Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh).
Sitting in the house, he heard Mrs. Hien yelling and insulting his father. Quang rushed out, grabbed Mrs. Hien by the collar, and slapped her in the face, causing her to fall and hit her head on the ground, requiring emergency care at the hospital. The victim suffered a traumatic brain injury and died after 3 weeks of treatment.
During his detention, Quang influenced his relatives to compensate the victim's family 160 million VND, so he was given mitigating circumstances. At the end of the trial, Quang was sentenced to 5 years in prison by the People's Court of Cam Xuyen district.
