The victims in this case are Le Van Duoc (43 years old, owner of a gold shop in An Hoa A hamlet, Ba Chuc town, Tri Ton district, An Giang province) and Pham Van Quang (34 years old, living in Tra Su hamlet, Nha Bang town, Tinh Bien district).
Initial information, at around 8:05 p.m. on July 16, although not sitting at the same drinking table, Mr. Duoc and Quang had an argument with Mr. Lay Buon Thy (52 years old, Cambodian nationality, currently living with his wife and children in the area near the scene of the murder).
Seeing that Mr. Thy was too drunk, an acquaintance helped him home to rest. Surprisingly, shortly after, Mr. Thy brought a pistol to Huong Que restaurant and shot Mr. Duoc in the head, causing the victim to die on the spot. Quang was only seriously injured by the bullet that went from his mouth to the back of his jaw and is currently being taken to Cho Ray Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) for emergency treatment.
