Conflict over lending money, father stabs son to death

Thanh Oai District Police are still actively investigating and clarifying the murder case that occurred on the evening of September 19, in Van Khe village, Tam Hung commune, Thanh Oai district, Hanoi.

The victim was Mr. Pham Van H. (born in 1980, residing in Van Khe village, Tam Hung commune, Thanh Oai district).SuspectThe person who caused Mr. H's death was Mr. Pham Van Hoach (born in 1950, residing at the same address above, the victim's biological father).

According to the police, at around 7:15 p.m. on September 19, Mr. H. was standing in front of his house enjoying the fresh air when Mr. Hoach came over to demand the money he had previously lent Mr. H., but up to now H. had not paid back in full.

The father and son argued back and forth, then got into a fight. At that moment, Mr. Hoach pulled out a knife and stabbed Mr. H. in the stomach, causing the victim to collapse on the spot.

Immediately afterwards, Mr. H. was taken to the emergency room by his family, but due to the severity of his injuries, the victim died on the way to the hospital. After committing the crime, the suspect turned himself in to the police.

It is known that Mr. Hoach and his wife had 4 sons, his wife passed away many years ago. Although he is in his 70s, Mr. Hoach still lives alone in his old house, next to his children's new houses. Mr. Hoach himself is suffering from cancer.

Previously, Mr. Hoach lent Mr. H. 35 million VND. In early 2021, Mr. Hoach went to his son's house to ask for the above amount, but Mr. H. said he had already paid it back, but Mr. Hoach forgot, so the father and son had a conflict. After that, Mr. Hoach continued to ask many more times, and Mr. H. paid his father 10 million VND.
