Luckily. Luckily, people have not yet built an index to evaluate the level of enjoying luck, otherwise it would be very difficult for us Vietnamese to find worthy opponents. If you do not believe, just test it and see, there is no place on this beautiful planet that can dig up as much luck as our country!

Talking about the word lucky naturally reminds me of a hot event, exactly just a few dozen hours ago. At 3:30 p.m. on October 2, 2018 in Paris, France, two Vinfast branded cars of Vingroup Corporation were proudly rolled onto the shelves, officially putting Vietnam on the map of the world automobile industry. People were amazed by the elegance and sophistication of the youngest car model at the exhibition. And in that rather unanimous exclamation, it was not difficult to recognize the voices of some lucky people.

I am not talking about the owners of the group. Those first two angelic twins are the crystallization of their sweat, tears, intelligence and desire. They deserve to receive the results. It is impossible to say that they are lucky like the football coach we quoted earlier. This time, luck is on the side of the managers, I think it is the Ministry of Public Works. One does not need to be observant to discover that a fig has just fallen into the mouth of a hungry person. Yes, very lucky indeed.

For decades, they have been embracing a series of preferential policies called “automotive industry” to manufacture, assemble and sell for foreign car manufacturers. It was thought that the “tablet” was about to “break” when suddenly Vinfast was born. There was no sign of previous conception. No shouting, no stone-throwing, suddenly and terrifyingly fast. 360 days for an automobile factory from the construction of the fence until the first car rolled out onto the world stage. Talking about luck, Vietnamese people have an extremely colloquial saying: “A dog yawns and catches a fly.” Of course, this is a catchphrase that originated from the time when dogs also had to “self-supply” their food, the time when flies were considered a favorite delicacy of dogs. The hidden meaning of this saying is to refer to cases where there is no talent or effort, but only pure luck that makes things happen.

Returning to the word “may”, it must be said that this is one of the “easiest” words to grow. Not picky about varieties, not lacking in output and especially resistant to “pests and diseases”. The word “may” for Vietnamese people is not only used in cases of “catching flies” but mostly it is used in cases of avoiding or limiting a certain risk.

“Lucky” is a consolation tool, a hypothetical retreat for many unfortunate lives. Imagine a reckless car that makes many people panic, but no one says it was a risk, and is even ready to admit, “Luckily, no one got into an accident.” Even in the case of an accident, even if it is a very obvious loss, Vietnamese people still know how to console, “luckily it was only soft tissue injuries.” But what if it is a serious accident, leaving them disabled for life? Oh, “luckily I didn’t die”! Not only that, last year a woman who was sad about her family threw herself into the river, the victim then “sat behind a bunch of bananas” for a whole week, but there were still people trying to comfort her, saying, “Luckily the body was found.” Others said, “luckily it didn’t rain at the funeral.” Even if it rained, it was still possible to “luckily die on an auspicious day,” and so on and so forth.

I have a friend who lost his wallet but still firmly asserted, "I'm so lucky because yesterday afternoon I took out almost all the money and gave it to my wife." Strangely, only a month later, the thief stole his second wallet. This time, the tens of millions of dong he had saved were gone. I thought he would be sad and "autistic", but no, he still innocently declared, "I'm so lucky! The money is gone instead of the person. The money is gone, but you are at peace."

Oh, that makes sense! Yeah, why do we have to bury ourselves in a sad punishment when there is still a way out for optimism? Life is still generous and regularly brings us so much luck. With that spirit of "in every misfortune there is a blessing", why do we criticize instead of considering the recent discovery of cheating in university entrance exams as a stroke of luck for the education sector? It's not too ironic, if the combination of cheating cases had been successful, how long would the "bad luck" last? Luckily, it has revealed a part of the dark side of the achievement table that people have painted so brightly about the "two in one" exam.

Of course, I think there are many other lucky things in the education sector. For example, fortunately, the “educational technology” is still being piloted after 40 years. Fortunately, the Ministry does not encourage writing answers in textbooks for one-time use only. Fortunately, the school milk project is very… voluntary! And importantly, fortunately, the Ministry has the spirit of “working resolutely, working to the end, working objectively, with absolutely no forbidden areas”. Even in other fields, there is no less luck. Fortunately, the fake cancer drug case was discovered early. Fortunately, the baby whose leg was amputated was admitted to university. Fortunately, many people were sent to prison after retirement…

So, just like that, without spending a penny, why not find a way to comfort? It may not make us less sad, but it may not make us hurt more! In life, sometimes one person's good fortune is another person's misfortune. A rain falls, the rice farmer smiles, but the salt worker cries.
