Plane carrying nearly 300 passengers split in two upon landing in the US.

A Boeing 777 belonging to South Korean airline Asiana Airlines broke in two and caught fire upon landing at San Francisco International Airport (USA) in the early morning of July 7th (Vietnam time).
Flight 214, carrying 291 passengers and 16 crew members, departed from Seoul (South Korea) and crashed shortly after completing its 10-hour and 23-minute journey.
Images from the scene show that much of the plane's roof was shattered, one engine was missing, and the tail section was completely detached from the fuselage. At least two people died, dozens were injured, and 60 are still missing.
The plane appears to have lost balance during landing, with the tail hitting the ground first, causing the entire fuselage to collapse and slide along the runway before bursting into flames.
The weather in San Francisco was quite favorable at the time of landing. The ill-fated aircraft had been in service with Asiana Airlines since 2006. Asiana Airlines is one of the two largest airlines in South Korea and was voted the best airline of 2011 by the renowned travel magazine Global Traveler.
