Japan Self-Defense Force plane carrying 6 people missing
On April 6, a Japan Self-Defense Force plane carrying six people went missing after taking off from a base in Kagoshima prefecture.
NHKThe U-125 aircraft left the base at 1:15 p.m. local time and more than an hour later, the aircraft disappeared from the radar screen and lost contact with the ground control station when it was about 11 kilometers from the base.
The plane was carrying six people and was performing an aerial inspection of an airport's facilities.
Japan's Self-Defense Forces have dispatched several helicopters to join the search for the missing plane.
